We're Going on a Berry Hunt!

As we explore the property we are renting, we are discovering lots of fruit and berries. There are 12 apple trees, about 6 blueberry bushes and a hillside of wild strawberries, blackberries, and possibly raspberries. Blackberries and Blueberries are old favorites, but apples and raspberries don't grow well where we lived in Texas, so this is quite exciting!

We took some pictures of the baby apples and blueberries when we arrived and I am amazed at the apple growth! We found some ripe blueberries on the bushes this morning and several that should be ripe in another few days.

Blueberries now!

Blueberries gone...

While walking up the hill behind our house, we noticed these tiny strawberries growing wild!

Seriously tiny!!

Some of the Apple trees. These trees haven't been cared for in a while...

Blackberries almost ripe! They were blooming when we picked the strawberries above. If you can tell, the blackberries are growing on a vine among the larger leafed light green plants. I think these plants may be raspberries....

Nice! What a sweet side benefit to your rental. I think those tiny strawberries taste so much better than store bought. Yummy.
